Downloading A Grade Worksheet

Grading is an essential part of determining whether proposals meet the necessary standards to be awarded observation time. Grading of proposals proceeds in two phases: preliminary grading which occurs before the TAC review meeting, and final grading that occurs during the meeting. The review application provides two methods for entering grades: grading by worksheet, or grading by individual proposal in a proposal view. Both of these are available for the preliminary and final phases of grading.

TAC Grading Scale

Grading is on a scale of 1 (high) to 5 (low) in increments of 0.05. Invalid grades will be marked as a default 0 value; grades will be rounded down to the nearest 0.05 increment.

Step 1

Click the Grading link in the navigation sidebar. Click the Grade By Worksheet tab if needed to make the tab content visible.

Grade Worksheet Compatibility

Grading worksheets are compatible with Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer, LibreOffice 5.0.6, and OpenOffice 4.1.2.

Step 2 (Initial download)
